Starbucks Japan always comes up with surprising new seasonal additions to their menu and this Christmas is no exception! Their new drinks include plenty of matcha alongside other festive flavours!
While matcha (Japanese green tea) isn’t usually thought of as a festive flavour, Starbucks have made it the star of their two latest festive menu additons: the Matcha Matcha White Chocolate Frappuccino and the Matcha Matcha White Chocolate Latte!
Starbucks have covered both drinks with matcha and white chocolate syrups to give it the feel of trees covered in snow, a common sight in snowy areas of Japan during winter. In addition to the syrup, the drinks are also topped with bright green pieces of crumbled matcha brownie.
These new drinks are added to the festive menu from November 25th and can be ordered alongside the Macadamia Toffee Latte, Gingerbread Latte and Winter White Chocolate drinks already available from now until December 25th.
As well as these tasty new drinks, Starbuck Japan have updated their drinkware and merchandise offerings for the festive season and have two new ranges of products available.
The Christmas themed Holiday 2020 range of products includes polar bear themed items such a drinks tumbler, Christmas tree ornament and Bearista Dog plush as well as various pieces of drinkware in the same shade of red as their signature Christmas cups.
The Brilliant Season themed Holiday 2020 range of products takes more inspiration from the upcoming New Year festivities rather than Christmas and includes items featuring star and snow themed patterns.
